About our history
Philip Alford began studying water filtration and water modification in 1972. He has also been developing water filtration products over this time span. In 1984 he encountered bacterially produced magnetite, a complex iron, in the groundwater in North Central Texas. Every filter on the market at that time only made this problem worse. After developing the Philip Alford Iron Filter, the magnetite problem was removed from the water and its symptoms no longer appeared. While this system is often copied, it has never been duplicated.
In 2004, the RPG Water Catalyst was developed. I basically scrapped everything I had learned about water filtration and began experimenting with other filter designs and technologies. In the process, we basically went from water filtration to water “sluicing” to get the dynamic results we now are able to achieve.
Over the next four years I developed methods by which I could remove sub-nanometer sized particles, and capture and contain them, without the use of flocculants and chemicals.
Our proprietary methods of water treatment will take water like that in the picture and make it crystal clear, without tastes or odors.
RPG Water Catalyst conditioned water will remove lime and scale build up from water lines, water heaters, fixtures, appliances and showers.
It also eliminates the spotting and dull film caused by hard water and salt softened water.
According to water test lab results, RPG Water Catalyst removes from water, the tastes and odors related to iron, sulfur, stagnation, geosmin, 2-methylisoborneol, cyanobacteria; and trace inorganic contaminants, including the following elements: Aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, bismuth, cadmium, calcium, carbon, cerium, cesium, chromium, cobalt, copper, dysprosium, erbium, europium, gadolinium, gallium, germanium, hafnium, holmium, indium, iron, lanthanum, lead, lutetium, magnesium, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, neodymium, nickel, niobium, phosphorous, potassium, praseodymium, rhenium, rubidium, samarium, scandium, selenium, silicon, silver, sodium, strontioum, sulfur, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, thallium, thorium, thulium, tin, titanium, tungsten, uranium, vanadium, ytterbium, yttrium, zinc, zirconium.
